a new beginning

It seems the time for a new story has arrived, perhaps this one will be held to more diligently as we enter the new year. Erica and I will be married in 165 days and along the way we'll try to make this a portrait into our lives. Then we'll use it as a travel blog, child blog, dog training, photography, etc. I have three resolutions for the year, professional, personal and physical, the three P's. My professional resolution is to get into the landscape architecture at harvard or rhode island school of design (although this may have to be revised pending a successful attempt this time around), my personal goal would be to keep this updated and fun while my physical goal is to qualify for the boston marathon in april 2010. All are possible, all will take daily diligence, which is a little something I need :)

I'm not quite sure what erica wants to get done, other than make her lab run as smoothly as possible now that she's in charge, which probably requires recruiting and motivating some new slaves to take over her old duties. She's also probably pretty interested in that wedding thing and the marathon (even if she doesn't have my desire to qualify, 26 miles of continuous running takes quite a bit of work.)

Solon expressed to me an earnest desire to become our ringbearer and promised me steadfast energy towards the training of that responsibility so I'm going to se what I can do to assist him in that venture. No promises but I think he'll turn out ok.

Well, I think this plane may get on its way fairly shortly, so we're signing off this preliminary post of ours, but I earnestly hope it will only be the first of many.
